Throughout the last three centuries, thousands of Cornishmen have sought work overseas, often as miners. In North America they were often referred to as 'Cousin Jack's'. With the threatened closure of South Crofty tin mine in Camborne, Cornwall many more seem set to leave the county, finally bringing to an end two thousand years of mining.
