So what is Abbotsbury Festival?
Held this year on the 6th July, it's a lovely relaxed afternoon within a natural amphitheatre created within the Sub Tropical Gardens of Abbotsbury, near Weymouth. The gates open to the gardens at 10am, and your wristband allows you full access to wander round the fabulous surroundings. At 1.30 we open access to the festival area so you can set up your chairs or picnic blankets. Feel free to bring a picnic, or else there is a beautiful cafe on site and BBQ available within the festival area.
Bring your cash with you as we run a raffle every year to win an Oddy instrument - this year it is a cuatro used by Steve Knightley. All money raised goes to a nominated charity.
Music starts at 3pm and runs through to dusk at 9.45pm with a final concert from Show of Hands.
Parking on the site is free. Wristbands also allow access to the swannery and children's farm throughout the weekend.
This year we are pleased to have Tom Robinson, Track Dogs, Banter and Kelly Oliver performing throughout the day. This is a wonderfully relaxed day with family tickets available for those that want to bring children - definitely worth a day out or weekend away!
