Show of Hands announces final ‘Full Circle’ tour before taking indefinite break.
After thirty remarkable years of non-stop touring Show of Hands, comprising Steve Knightley and Phil Beer, have announced that they will no longer tour together as Show of Hands for the foreseeable future. Whilst Phil and Steve will still be available for recording, solo touring, and special events, the duo has decided to prioritise their well-being, creativity, and longevity above the demands of the road.
This final ‘Full Circle’ tour of two parts is a chance for Show of Hands to say goodbye and celebrate the music they love so much. They are excited to take this opportunity to reflect on their incredible journey and share their music with fans old and new, and hope you can all join them to make it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Autumn 2023 is Part One of the ‘Full Circle’ tour and sees Show of Hands joined by their long-time collaborator, Miranda Sykes.
The trio will perform in major theatres across England, showcasing their music and giving fans a chance to witness their final live performances. Additionally, Show of Hands will be releasing ‘Roots Two’, a compilation of their last six albums that will complement their best-selling ‘Roots One’ release from 2017.
The second part of the ‘Full Circle’ tour will start in February 2024 and is a chance for Show of Hands as a Duo to return to their roots, performing in some of the Folk Clubs and Village Halls where they began their musical journey. In March, they will be appearing at small arts centres, and community venues. Finally, in April and May, they will play larger theatres, featuring many of the guest artists they have toured, recorded, or collaborated with over the last three decades.
