Raffle at Royal Albert Hall raises record amount for MIND and Great Ormond Street
Show of Hands continued the great tradition of the raffle at ‘Kensington Village Hall’ on Easter Sunday, raising £4,355 – the most ever – for chosen charities MIND and Great Ormond Street Hospital & Children’s Charity. The main prize once again was a beautifully crafted cello mandolin made by Show of Hands’ Devon-based instrument makers Oddy Luthiers, and second prize was a copy of No Secrets.
A dedicated team of ticket sellers gather at every Albert Hall gig, organised by Steve Sheldon who works tirelessly throughout the evening. This year the gang were know as ‘team terracotta due to their vibrant ‘raffle sellers’ t-shirts!
Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard, and to all of you who bought tickets!
